Norwich - Antone Ulewicz, 92, formerly of 21 Terrace Ave, Taftville, died on
Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2005, at Haven Health Care in Norwich.
On March 7, 1913, he was born in Warren, R.I., the son of the late Alexander and
Tekla (Janonis) Ulewicz.
He was married to Mollie Gosciewski on Nov. 30, 1933, at St. Joseph Church in
Norwich. She pre-deceased him on Nov. 9, 1986.
Antone worked as a pipe fitter at Electric Boat. After his retirement he worked
for Wilfred E. Duff Contractors in Preston. He also worked as a security guard
at the former Big A in Taftville.
He is survived by his son, Wayne Ulewicz of Norwich; his sister, Evelyn and her
husband, Joseph Terranova, of Pawcatuck; two sisters-in-law, Stella LaPorte of
Norwich and Eleanor Tremblay of Simi Valley, Calif.; and several nieces and
nephews.
He was predeceased by two sisters, Camilla Duff and Helen Puza.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. today at St. Joseph Cemetery in
Norwich.
The Woyasz & Son Funeral Home, 141 Central Ave., Norwich, is in charge of
arrangements.
